This is an introductory course that provides students with an overview of Cultural Studies and what it has been doing as a critical approach to understand contemporary issues. The purpose of the course is to give a conceptual understanding through which students can engage with the recent development of Cultural Studies and to equip them with skills to examine the current issues in their surroundings. At the end of the course, the current state of Cultural Studies in Indonesia is to examine to trace the trajectory and what it is envisioning.
